Free Upcoming Opioid Overdose Rescue Training with Cancer Focus

As you may know, February is National Cancer Prevention Month. Approximately 55% of patients with cancer and 40% of survivors experience chronic cancer-related pain. Also, 43% of patients with cancer and 10% of survivors use opioids to manage chronic cancer pain, with two-thirds of patients with cancer surviving beyond 5 years.
To bring awareness to the relationship between these issues, the AmeriCorps Community Training for Overdose Rescue Program will be hosting a free, virtual Overdose Rescue Training!

During this training, you will learn how to perform hands-only CPR, how to administer Narcan (opioid overdose-reversing nasal spray), and the steps to take during an opioid overdose emergency! Feel free to sign up or share this flyer with interested peers, family members, employers or community organizations!

When: Wednesday, February 24, 2021
Time: 12:00 PM
Where: Virtually via Zoom
Cost: FREE!
