Remember The Angels
This page is dedicated to the memory of our Angels.
In a perfect world a page like this wouldn't be needed. However, we don't live in a perfect world. The stories on this page do not have a happy ending. Lives, hopes and dreams ended too soon because of childhood cancer.
There has to be a day where more than 4% funding is allowed for childhood cancer research. Without that day, outdated treatment protocols will continue to be used. In some cases these treatment protocols are 40 years old and have the most devastating outcome.
Can you imagine being told your child has cancer. Then before you can recover from that it's followed by...
There is no chance of survival.
These are the stories you will see on this page. All of them have been written by a parent of an angel.
Some of these parents, including myself are available to speak with. If you would like to talk with one of our team of mentors. Please fill out the contact form by clicking here.
Remembering Torrin Breneman
Torrin was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma September 25, 2017 which was 5 months after he donated his hair to wigs for kids. When he was told he had cancer he said, so when treatment is done I can say I’m a cancer survivor and was proud. However, we had no idea he would lose this battle.
Remembering Stephaine Marshall
On July 8th, 2001 I was given the greatest gift of my life when Stephaine was born. It breaks my heart that I lost her to cancer on April 11th, 2015. She was the only person I have ever known that never got angry or frustrated over anything. She filled our hearts with love and laughter everyday of her life.
Free Upcoming Opioid Overdose Rescue Training with Cancer Focus
As you may know, February is National Cancer Prevention Month. Approximately 55% of patients with cancer and 40% of survivors experience chronic cancer-related pain. Also, 43% of patients with cancer and 10% of survivors use opioids to manage chronic cancer pain, with two-thirds of patients with cancer surviving beyond 5 years.
Virtual Concert For “A Mission Of Love”
In a normal year we had planned to host a live concert with the Neil Lawrence Experience. Since it's not a normal year the NLE decided to host a virtual concert for us. On December 11th, 2020, The Neil Lawrence Experience will be sharing a Virtual Event to support the Mission Of Love a Childhood Cancer Charity out of Warren, MI.
Embrace Change
Easier said than done. It took over 5 years for me to make some changes to the website. I built this website with Steph back in December 2014. One thing I wanted to keep was the color scheme and some of the pages the way she seen them. I was able to accomplish that.
5 Years Later
Stephaine, here we are 5 years later and we have accomplished so much in that time. Comedy 4 Cancer has been a huge hit. While COVID-19 cut our 4th season short, it was still a success. The last 4 years we have helped many families financially with these events. The countless sold out shows and many hours of laughter has raised over 100K.
